As a tax exempt entity, the Foundation may be an ideal vehicle for many in this area to channel; charitable donations to fund worthwhile projects, while deriving tax savings through the tax exempt status of the Foundation.
The Foundation is a collection of individual Funds established for a broad or very specific purpose, as determined by the donor. The types of funds that can be created are:
Unrestricted Funds - The most flexible of funds as they are not limited by any particular purpose, Money earned on the donation is distributed through the grant process for the ever changing needs of the community. This is a remarkable way to strengthen our community and leave a permanent legacy.
Scholarship Funds - The is also an ideal way to establish a permanent legacy in memory of a loved one or to honor family or friends.
Designated Funds - These funds can be established to benefit the charity of the donor's choice.
Donor Advised Funds - These are funds where the donor can remain actively involved in recommending grants.
